Description
Handheld/phone-attached devices let officers capture fingerprints (and
sometimes face/iris) in the field and search them against databases in
near real-time. Modern devices like DataWorks Plus 'Evolution Rapid ID'
query state and FBI databases (including the FBI's Repository for
Individuals of Special Concern) to identify people without ID during
stops, returning results in roughly a minute.
